Wynn Telecom is a new subsidiary of the SAR Group , owner of the – Luminous brand of power and energy storage products .
Wynn Telecom will deal with mobile phone handsets and will launch the mobile phones under the brand Wynncom . Initially the Wyncomm mobiles will be imported from China (ofcourse with valid IMEI number) and subsequently a mobile phone manufacturing unit will be setup in Himachal Pradesh .Micromax mobile has also followed the same process.
“Under Wynncom brand, we hope to be among top three Indian handset companies within one year of our operations” told Wynn Telecom Co-founder and Chairman Rakesh Malhotra.
Initially seven models of Wynncom dual SIM mobile phones priced at less than Rs.5,000 will be launched in May 2010.
Wynncom mobiles will be a mix of utility phones, upgrade phones ,and youth phones.Utility phones will feature long battery backup and attractive designs.The Wynncom upgrade series mobile phones will be multimedia mobile phones.The Wynncom mobile Youth series mobile phones will feature QWERTY keypad, Instant Chat messengers, social networking applications,and various color options.
