If you did not, at least let Gmail tell people whence you disseminate your messages, preempting the inevitable question: "Where are you now?"
Have Gmail Append Your Current Location to Outgoing Emails' Signatures
Note that the following is not currently available in Gmail.
To have your location appended to emails you write automatically in Gmail:
- Follow the Settings link in Gmail.
- Go to the Labs tab.
- Make sure Enable is selected for Location in Signature.
- Click Save Changes.
- Follow the Settings link again.
- Go to the General tab.
- Make sure have a signature set up.
- Now make sure Append your location to the signature. is checked.
- Click Save Changes.
Now, when you compose an email, Gmail will add "Sent from:" followed by its best guess for your current location to your signature.
You can edit the town, state and country information, of course, or delete it altogether.
